Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

🪵 About Our Products / About Our Products

Q1. What raw materials are used in AURAPLE's fragrance products?
We deeply believe that scent is the invisible director of space. To present the purest and most effortless olfactory layers, AURAPLE's scented candles are all handcrafted with 100% natural plant waxes (soy wax and coconut wax) and selected compound plant essential oils and natural fragrance ingredients. They do not contain paraffin wax, so they produce less black smoke when burning, making them more friendly to people and the environment.
Q2. Why do some candle surfaces look uneven or have tiny cracks?
This is a normal physical characteristic of natural plant wax (Soy Wax). Since we insist on not adding artificial shrinking agents or chemical stabilizers, if the candle encounters changes in temperature and humidity during production or transportation, the surface may show slight shrinkage, cracks, bubbles, or sweating. This does not affect the normal burning or fragrance of the candle at all, so please use it with confidence.
Q3. Can pregnant women, infants, or pet households use AURAPLE's fragrances?
Our room fragrances and candles use high-quality natural ingredients. However, infants, pregnant women, and pets have more sensitive olfactory and bodily systems:
  • Pregnant Women: During the first trimester of pregnancy, it is recommended to avoid products containing certain essential oils. Please consult a professional doctor before use.
  • Pets: The metabolic systems of cats and dogs are different from humans. When using fragrances, please ensure good air circulation in the space and avoid prolonged burning in enclosed small spaces where pets are active.

🕯️ Candle Care & Tips / Candle Care & Tips

Q1. What should I pay attention to when using a scented candle for the first time?
  • First Burn Time: When lighting the candle for the first time, please be sure to burn it continuously for 1 to 2 hours until the surface completely melts into an even "wax pool". This prevents the candle from developing "tunneling" (a hollow in the center) and ensures even burning every subsequent time.
  • Trim the Wick: Before each lighting, please trim the wick to about 0.5 ~ 0.6 cm. A wick that is too long will cause a large flame and black smoke; a wick that is too short will cause a small flame and prevent the wax pool from melting properly.
Q2. How should I extinguish a candle safely?
Do not blow out the candle directly, as this can produce black smoke and a burnt smell, ruining the original aroma lingering in the space. It is recommended to use a professional candle snuffer to cover the flame, or use a candle dipper to immerse the wick in the melted wax to extinguish it, and then immediately straighten the wick.
